PRDM15 encodes a sequence-specific DNA-binding transcriptional regulator that controls embryonic development and cell fate decisions by regulating the Wnt/beta-catenin and MAPK/ERK pathways essential for stem cell pluripotency and self-renewal. This gene is highly constrained against loss-of-function variants, but no specific human disease phenotypes have been established from mutations in PRDM15. The inheritance pattern for potential PRDM15-related disorders has not been determined.
