Also known as: ARC20, DEVLO, P20-ARC
The protein is the p20 subunit of the Arp2/3 complex, which controls actin polymerization and is necessary for actin nucleation and high-affinity binding to F-actin. Mutations cause developmental delay, language impairment, and ocular abnormalities with autosomal dominant inheritance. This condition affects neurodevelopment and vision from early childhood.
